The Leeds Cancer Vaccine Appeal

The Leeds Cancer Vaccine Appeal was founded by Paul and Alex Caddick in 2007. Based at Cancer UK’s clinical centre at St James' Hospital in Leeds, professor Alan Melcher and his teama dedicated team are working ground-breaking research by using the immune system to fight tumours (i.e., anti-cancer vaccines), as well as viruses, which can specifically kill tumour cells. This work extends right through from the laboratory to clinical trials on patients, and this is where funding would be most valuable.

The charity is dedicated to raising money for research work at St James' and every penny raised will be used to fund this valuable research and the impending clinical trials here in Leeds.
